Two-starred Michelin chef Moreno Cedroni is known throughout the world for his simple yet delicious creations, and Spuntini is the first restaurant in Hong Kong to introduce his unique brand of Italian products. Meaning snack in Italian, Spuntini is part deli, part wine bar and part café, with an airy, sophisticated ambience. A short walk up from Queen’s Road East, the open dining area seats about 30 people, and customers can select from a wide assortment of Italian wine and beverages. In addition, Moreno’s meats, seafood and sauces are available in decorative cans and jars. Behind the counter, chef Sai Wai Wo conjures up imaginative ways to bring out the products’ flavours to their best advantage. Personally trained in Moreno’s kitchen, his Spuntini Creations are small platters that change weekly, offering a variety of mouthwatering snacks, pastas and entrees with a strong accent on seafood from the Adriatic. Popular for both lunch and dinner, Spuntini is also a great place to cap off a busy day with a glass of wine and a small bite. For dessert lovers, Moreno’s Lacrima wine jelly with Italian yogurt is a refreshing way to end a meal.
